My Fruitive Challenge: Day 26 — New Starchy Food

 I tried two new foods today: Jicama and Taro Root. I like them both. 

The jicama is like a cross between a potato, apple, and water chestnut. You can eat it raw or cooked. It’s crisp and crunchy and has a slightly sweet taste. It’s very good with salads. No one else in my family liked them though.

I really like the taro root. The packaging says to prepare it like a potato. I think it’s like a cross between a potato and a yucca root. I peeled it and air fried it. Very good!
